What is the Recompose Retreat?
The Recompose Retreat is an immersive experience designed specifically for professional photographers. It combines advanced photography workshops, hands-on sessions, and networking opportunities in a serene, intimate and inspiring environment.
When and where is the retreat taking place?
The very first retreat will take place on November 1, 2nd and 3rd. Recompose workshop portions will be at our 10-acre ranch that Lea built while RECOMPOSING her own business. TWO picturesque studio settings, perfect for enhancing your photography skills. Day three will open shooting with instructors at Recompose, our partner's 80-acre horse equestrian ranch, or off-location.
Who can attend the retreat?
The retreat is open to everyone as we believe that people learn at different rates. It is structured for the more intermediate and professional photographers looking to elevate their business to the next level, improve their craft, build community amongst peers, and gain inspiration from new surroundings.
How can I purchase a ticket for the retreat?
What is included in the ticket price?
Tickets can be purchased directly from our website. Visit the Home Page and follow the prompts to secure your spot. But hurry this is a very intimate event and there will only be 15 attendees allowed in.
The ticket price includes continental breakfast and dinner on days one and two, a total of 6 workshop sessions, hands-on shooting opportunities, open bay shooting with models, and access to mastermind strategies amongst the educators and attendees. Optional lodging offers with tickets are available at both our on-site property and close offsite property 6 minutes down the road.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, as well as Afterpay for payment plans. Please contact us if you need to arrange an alternative payment method.
Is there a payment plan available?
Yes, Afterpay is our first option for a payment plan to help make attending the retreat more affordable. Or we can also provide in-house financing for an additional $100.00 There will be a $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE retainer to sign up. Please see our Please let us know if this option is more suitable for you.
What type of accommodation do you suggest?
We have both onsite and offsite lodging to offer our guests. Ticket can be purchased with lodging should you choose. Please see the options on the lodging page to determine what would suit you best, but hurry space is limited. You also have the option to stay anywhere in the Colorado Springs/Fountain Colorado area. What If I plan to come early?
Please let us know as far and advanced if you want to come a day or two early or plan to stay later and we may be able to accommodate your stay for an additional cost. We do not guarantee that we can make this happen.
Are meals included?
We will provide a continental breakfast and dinner on day one and two, with options to accommodate dietary restrictions. Please inform us of any special dietary needs when you purchase your ticket.
Can I request a roommate?
Yes, if you have a friend or colleague attending the retreat and would like to share accommodation, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. We also have a special for attendees bringing a friend along! Please contact us with how many people are interested in coming to the event for a special discount!
What kind of workshops will be offered?
The retreat features a variety of workshops led by experts who are either running 6 figure businesses or have a talent and unique approach to shooting like no other! Each retreat will offer something new! We will be covering topics such as advanced lighting techniques, out-of-the-box business strategies, marketing possibilities, and mindset shifts.
Will there be hands-on shooting opportunities?
Absolutely! The retreat is designed to offer numerous hands-on shooting sessions onsite with real-deal clients and models, giving you the chance to apply what you’ve learned and build your portfolio.
Can I bring my own models for the shoot?
Yes, you are welcome to purchase a ticket in for your own model. However, we also provide professional models for specific sessions.
How do I get to the retreat location?
Detailed travel instructions will be provided upon ticket purchase. The location is only 15 minutes away from the Colorado Springs airport. Shuttles will not be provided, however UBER is a great alternative for a very low cost to get you here fast.
What should I bring to the retreat?
Bring your camera gear, favorite lenses, memory cards, laptops and any additional accessories you might typically use. Also, pack comfortable clothing, suitable footwear for the optional outdoor activities, and any personal items you may need. For some of the offsite shooting available, you are more than welcome to bring your own lighting equipment. We will have a few different triggers for use but can not guarantee all. We will have access to multiple light setups to include, Interfit, Westcott, and Godox.
Will there be internet access at the retreat?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available at the retreat venue, though we encourage participants to unplug and fully immerse themselves in the experience.
What is the cancellation policy?
We have a very strict no-cancellation policy. While we do know that emergencies arise, should something happen, we recommend gifting your ticket to another fellow photographer.
What is the cancellation policy?
Yes, tickets are transferable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another individual. Please notify us of the transfer before the retreat.
What happens if the retreat is canceled?
In the unlikely event that the retreat is canceled, you will receive a full refund. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any additional expenses.
